PALUMBO, John Carmen (88)


Passed away on December 24 from complications of a stroke. Born in New York City and later moved to Bridgeport Connecticut. He graduated from Dartmouth with a Bachelor of Arts, and then went on to Columbia University where he earned his Master's Degree in Romance Languages.

 

After serving in the military intelligence during World War II as an interpreter, he decided to move to Los Angeles. He became a Language teacher for the Los Angeles Unified School system and retired 25 years later. John's love of golf, on and off the course, brought him to the Sepulveda Men's Golf Club in 1972, where he served on the Board of Directors.
 

A devoted father, a kind, charitable, compassionate person, John will be remembered for his extreme loyalty, dedication, and selfless love toward his friends.
